1. Seller and scope

StroMech Electronics is a brand operated by:

These terms apply to purchases of products made through stromech.com by consumers (natural persons buying for purposes outside their trade, business or profession). Business customers, and custom design and manufacturing projects, are covered by a separate agreement made with each client — please contact us. The language of the contract is English.

2. Products, intended use and safety

• All products are intended for off-road and motorsport use only (racing, track-day and closed-course use). They are not approved for use on public roads.
• The OBD-DEV is a development and diagnostic tool. It is not type-approved and is not designed, tested or certified as a permanently installed vehicle component.
• The product descriptions, datasheets and quick guides published on this website are part of the product information. Read them before installing or using a product.
• The buyer is responsible for checking that the product is compatible with the vehicle, for installing, connecting and calibrating it correctly according to the provided instructions, for having the technical knowledge this requires, and for complying with the laws of the country of use.
• Our products are auxiliary information and diagnostic devices. They are not safety devices, are not a substitute for a vehicle's original instruments, and do not guarantee accurate operation under all conditions.
• Motorsport and vehicle racing are inherently dangerous activities that carry a significant risk of property damage, personal injury or death. By taking part, you accept these risks.

3. Prices and taxes

All prices are in euros (EUR). The seller is not a VAT payer: VAT is not charged pursuant to Article 94(1) of the Slovenian VAT Act (ZDDV-1), so the price shown is the price you pay for the product.

Shipping is not included in the product price. The total price including shipping is confirmed to you before you pay.

For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes and handling fees may apply. These are paid by the buyer.

4. Ordering and payment

To order, send us an enquiry through the contact form or by email with the product, quantity and your country. We reply with availability, the total price including shipping and a secure payment link. Payment is made online by card or other methods offered by our payment provider Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.

The contract is concluded when your payment is completed, and you will receive a confirmation by email. The order is shipped after payment. If we cannot supply a product, or the price shown was obviously wrong, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

5. Delivery

We ship worldwide with Pošta Slovenije, tracked or untracked as agreed with you.

Orders are dispatched within 2–5 working days after payment and, unless we agree otherwise, delivered no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded. Actual delivery time depends on the destination country and the postal service.

The risk of loss of or damage to the goods passes to you when you receive them. Please check the parcel on receipt and report visible damage or missing items by email as soon as possible.

If a product is unexpectedly out of stock, we will contact you and offer a new delivery date or a full refund.

6. Right of withdrawal (returns)

If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the product, without giving a reason.

How to withdraw:

1. Inform us before the 14 days expire, by email to info@stromech.com or by post to the address in section 1, with the model withdrawal form in Annex 1 or with any other clear statement.
2. Send the product back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you informed us, to the address in section 1.

Costs: the buyer pays the direct cost of returning the product.

Refund: we refund all payments received, including the original standard shipping cost, within 14 days of receiving your notice of withdrawal. The refund is made using the same payment method you used. We may hold the refund until we have received the product back or you have shown proof that you sent it back.

Condition of the product: you may handle the product only as needed to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning (as you would in a shop). If the product has been installed, used, modified or damaged, you are liable for any reduction in its value, and this amount may be deducted from the refund.

Exceptions: the right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to the buyer's specifications or clearly personalised.

7. Defective products (legal guarantee)

The seller is liable for lack of conformity (defects) in accordance with the Slovenian Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1). We are liable for defects that existed at delivery and appear within two years of delivery. If a product is defective you are entitled to repair or replacement, and if this is not possible or not carried out in time, to a price reduction or a refund, as provided by law. No additional commercial guarantee is provided.

How to make a claim:

1. Email info@stromech.com as soon as you notice the defect. Describe the problem and include your order number and, if possible, photos or a short video.
2. We confirm receipt and answer your claim within 8 days. We tell you how to send the product back; the cost of sending back a defective product is borne by the seller.
3. After inspection we repair or replace the product, or otherwise resolve the claim as provided by law, without undue delay and within the time limits set by law.

Problems that are caused after delivery by incorrect installation, connection or calibration, use contrary to the instructions or intended use, modification or repair by the buyer or third parties, accident, or normal wear are not defects of the product.

8. Limitation of liability

8.1 Use at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, the seller is not liable for any loss of or damage to vehicles, engines, control units, other equipment or property, for loss of data, or for personal injury or death, and for any related consequences, arising from or in connection with the installation or use of the products where this results from:

• incorrect installation, connection, calibration or programming,
• use contrary to the instructions, datasheets or intended use,
• use on public roads or in road traffic,
• participation in motorsport, racing, track days or off-road activities,
• transmitting messages on a vehicle's bus, or using custom or third-party firmware or software,
• modification or repair by the buyer or third parties,
• reliance on a product as a safety device or as a substitute for the vehicle's original instruments,
• defects or faults of the vehicle or of other equipment, or normal wear.

8.2 Cap. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the seller's total liability arising from a sale, whatever the legal basis, is limited to the purchase price paid for the product concerned. The seller is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damage, including loss of profit, loss of use, towing and repair costs, or lost entry fees.

8.3 What cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory law — in particular liability for intent or gross negligence, liability for death or personal injury caused by the seller's fault, liability under product liability rules — or your statutory consumer rights, including the right of withdrawal and the legal guarantee. If a limitation in these terms is not permitted in your country of residence, it applies only to the extent it is permitted.

9. Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Complaints, disputes and applicable law

Complaints can be sent to info@stromech.com. We will reply within 8 days.

The seller does not take part in out-of-court consumer dispute resolution procedures before a specific dispute resolution body. As a consumer you may contact the consumer authority of your country; in Slovenia this is the Market Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia (Tržni inšpektorat RS).

These terms are governed by Slovenian law. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights under the law of the consumer's country of residence, or your right to go to the courts of your country of residence where mandatory law gives you that right.

11. Changes to these terms

The terms in force at the time of your order apply to that order. We may change these terms for future orders; the current version is always published on this page.
