OBD2 Gear Display
A compact digital gear indicator that shows your current gear in real time — motorsport feel for any car.
OBD2 Gear Display
This compact digital gear indicator shows your current gear in real time. It reads vehicle data through the OBD-II port and works out the gear from engine RPM and vehicle speed — no extra sensors or gearbox wiring required.
Installation is simple: plug the device into the OBD-II port and mount the display where it's clearly visible on the dashboard, using the supplied mount. After a short calibration drive through the gears, the unit automatically detects the correct gear during normal driving.
CAN bus communication has been standard on OBD-II since 2008, so most cars work right out of the box. Got an older vehicle? Many pre-2008 cars support it too — just ask and I'll check compatibility before you order.
What makes it special: I built it as a small gadget to give any car's interior a more motorsport feel, while still providing a genuinely useful, accurate gear display — complete with a Shift LED you can calibrate to light up at your own chosen RPM.
